DFC gives back to help end Veteran homelessness

As the winters season closed, DFC launched a new “spring cleaning” initiative to help give back to Veteran causes.

Throughout March, the spring cleaning effort allowed DFC staffers to contribute through two separate activities that benefited Veteran services. DFC staffers donated nearly 75 pounds of professional clothing to Friendship Place, a non-profit that works to combat Veteran homelessness in the D.C. area.

DFC also held a month-long positivity jar challenge – where staff donated money when they had a negative thought or a complaint. At the end of the month, the funds were donated to Operation Renewed Hope, which provides housing support and services to Veterans.

The spring cleaning initiative was part of DFC’s corporate Get Involved for Veterans (GIVE) charitable program that seeks to make a difference in the lives of those who have served our country.
