DFC Wins Marcom Gold Award for VA Claim Exam PSA Campaign

Duty First Consulting (DFC) was awarded a MarCom Gold Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals in its 2017 competition. The MarCom Gold Award is presented to those entries judged to excel the highest industry standards. DFC’s awards were received in the Video/Audio: Public Service Announcement (PSA) Campaign category.

This past summer, DFC created TV and radio PSAs featuring retired Army Colonel Greg Gadson as part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Benefits Assistance Service (BAS) contract for the VA Claim Exam campaign. This national campaign consists of a digital campaign, direct mail outreach, and an educational video series, in addition to the PSA campaign. In July, DFC filmed TV and radio PSAs with Col. Gadson to help Veterans understand what to expect when they go through the VA claim process. The PSAs were distributed nationally in early September and have already aired on national channels such as Fox Business and Fox News. After two months, the PSAs have aired over 4,700 times across 248 stations, garnering over 9 million impressions.
